BECK CLIP SYSTEMS acquires machine expertise from MAGA

On 1 February 2018, BECK CLIP SYSTEMS is taking over machine manufacturer MAGA (Komorniki, Poland), thereby enhancing its expertise and product portfolio significantly in the field of clip-machines. BECK CLIP SYSTEMS will hence be positioned as a full-range supplier in the meat processing industry market.

Expansion of BECK systems expertise
Under the banner of BECK CLIP SYSTEMS, the BECK Fastener Group has been producing aluminium clips for the food and packaging industries for more than 20 years at the facility in Mauerkirchen, Austria. As a system provider, the BECK Fastener Group extended its product range with manual and semi-automatic clip-machines in 2013. BECK CLIP SYSTEMS is taking a major offensive step forwards in the food industry sector with the adoption of MAGA products into its own product range. The new portfolio extends from the manual single clipper and the fully automatic double clipper through to the semi-automatic meat press.

Synergy effect
"We will benefit from the longstanding production expertise of MAGA employees and we're pleased to still be able to offer all employees successful and ambitious prospects in future," says Christian Beck, CEO of the BECK Fastener Group, explaining the strategic decision behind the company takeover. "With our quality promise and our service competence, we will continue to enhance the existing product range and firmly establish it on the market," he says, describing the future.

The previous MAGA proprietor and company founder, Wlodzimierz Morawski, regards BECK CLIP SYSTEMS as an ideal successor and will retire after a transition phase. Following his departure, Piotr Pranczke will be responsible for operational management and continuing to run the business according to the BECK Group's strict quality criteria. Piotr Pranczke has more than 11 years' sales and management experience in sectors including that of food packaging. Most recently, he was the Commercial Director and National Business Development Manager for Smurfit Kappa Poland.

Austrian quality in Poland as well

After the takeover, the BECK Fastener Group will retain the current MAGA site in Kormorniki as a machine production facility, while product quality control will take place in Austria. Cooperation between Austrian and Polish engineers will result in knowledge transfer that will have a positive effect on further development of the entire product range.

Background MAGA
The MAGA family-run business was founded in 1990 and has since operated successfully in the field of machine production for the food processing industry. The proprietor, Wlodzimierz Morawski, has handed over the company reins to the BECK Fastener Group due to his planned retirement. All employees will be adopted into the organisation and guidelines of the BECK Fastener Group. The former MAGA production facility in Komorniki, Poland, will henceforth operate under the name of BECK CLIP SYSTEMS sp. z o.o.

As a long-established company in the fastener industry, the BECK Fastener Group began to manufacture aluminium clips for the food and packaging industries in the mid-1990s. This product area has since evolved very successfully and BECK CLIP SYSTEMS has become a separate business division within the BECK Group. Both BECK clips and BECK clip-machines have earned wide market acclaim for their high quality at reasonable prices. They are also compatible with the products of other major manufacturers.
